This journalist toolkit was created through my internship with Virginia Sexual and Domestic Violence Action Alliance. After numerous incidents where we noticed that reporting on sexual and domestic violence crimes was not up to par, it was my duty to create a method in which one would be able to educate journalists on how to appropriately handle these cases. I was placed in charge of the whole document, its format, the copy, who to reach out to, everything. It was my baby that I sadly did not get to see through to fruition, but the Action Alliance is continuing on with it in my stead.
